Too Cool for School - price in South Korea (Dec 2013)

So back in Dec 2013 I stumbled into a beauty shop called "Too Cool for School" in Dongdaemun, South Korea.

Besides having an awesome name (I'm probably too old for school, but whatever...), the shop decor is really nice & quirky and I was also really drawn to the products' packaging. Using my phone, I did a quick google search on the brand and found out that there is actually a branch in Bangsar itself! Asked the Korean sales assistant (in Mandarin, no less) to recommend some of their top selling products. In the end, I got these:

1) Egg Mousse Pack - KRW12,000 (about RM37. Malaysia RP: RM73.50 as of Nov 2013)
2) After School BB Foundation Lunch Box - KRW18,000 (about RM55. Malaysia RP: RM99.50 as of Jan 2013)
3) Art Class Pencil Eraser - KRW8,500 (about RM26. Malaysia RP: unknown)
4) Hot Girl Lip Sticker in Blossom Pink - KRW8,000 (about RM24.50. Malaysia RP: unknown)

One of the best things about travel is discovering new beauty brands!

South Korea masks

Who doesn't like a good ol' mask?
Top left : Tony Moly Pureness 100 Caviar Mask Sheet Nutrition.
10 masks about KRW10,000, that works out to be about RM3 per mask.

Top centre : Tony Moly I'm Real Aloe Mask Sheet Moisturizing.
Price the same as above.

Top right : Innisfree It's Real Manuka Honey Mask.
10 masks + 1 free mask at KRW9,500, that works out to be RM2.76 per mask.

Bottom : Étude House (Job's Tears, Tea Tree, Korean Ginseng, Collagen and Fig). They were having a promo, 20 masks for KRW9,500! That works out to be RM1.52 per mask -_- (Apparently original price is 10 masks for KRW9,500).

Nature Republic - Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel

I just got back from South Korea! I'm not one who uses South Korean beauty products, even though KL has Nature Republic, Etude House, etc. Just the occasional South Korean masks from friends who have just visited the country.

Myeongdong is crazy! Each brand (the famous ones, that is) has a few branches here.

First product I'd like to write about is Nature Republic's Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel. There are just tubs and tubs of these in the shop! Cheaper if you buy more, but since I'm new to the brand, I only bought one.. It's only KRW4,400 (which is like RM13..?) for one tub.

It's a pretty big tub for the price I paid!

Anyway, the smell is light and I use it on my body. Dries quickly, too. If you search online, there are people who also use this on their hair, lips, eyes... Pretty much an all-purpose gel!
