Too Cool for School - price in South Korea (Dec 2013)

So back in Dec 2013 I stumbled into a beauty shop called "Too Cool for School" in Dongdaemun, South Korea.

Besides having an awesome name (I'm probably too old for school, but whatever...), the shop decor is really nice & quirky and I was also really drawn to the products' packaging. Using my phone, I did a quick google search on the brand and found out that there is actually a branch in Bangsar itself! Asked the Korean sales assistant (in Mandarin, no less) to recommend some of their top selling products. In the end, I got these:

1) Egg Mousse Pack - KRW12,000 (about RM37. Malaysia RP: RM73.50 as of Nov 2013)
2) After School BB Foundation Lunch Box - KRW18,000 (about RM55. Malaysia RP: RM99.50 as of Jan 2013)
3) Art Class Pencil Eraser - KRW8,500 (about RM26. Malaysia RP: unknown)
4) Hot Girl Lip Sticker in Blossom Pink - KRW8,000 (about RM24.50. Malaysia RP: unknown)

One of the best things about travel is discovering new beauty brands!

Yojiya cosmetic in Japan

Came across this brand; Yojiya while I was in Kyoto in May 2013. I was suspicious as there were a lot of ladies inside the shop, so I dragged my husband into the shop with me. At 1st I was walking around aimlessly, then I finally approached the shop assistant to ask what their best sellers were. She brought me to a corner where they displayed all their bestsellers, of course I bought almost all of them :)

Facial oil blotting paper (aburatorigami)
Price: 3 booklets for JPY1,020
1 booklet contains 20 sheets (3.5" x 3.5")
Function: Cleanses your skin and prepares it for smoother application of make-up by gently absorbing excess skin oil

Lip balm + hand lotion (set)
Price: JPY1,580
The Yojiya lip balm is quite sheer but smells absolutely divine! I like to use it before I go to bed (I use good ol' Silky Girl lip balm for day time). Will definitely be pining for the lip balm once it's finished! The hand cream smells great, too.

After my 1st shopping experience @ Yojiya, I read up more about it online & discovered that it's a cult local brand in Japan. I'm a sucker for these sort of things so I decided that I need to pay Yojiya another visit. The selection of Yojiya cosmetic in the duty free store @ Kansai International Airport is much smaller, but they carry an exclusive product which is the facial blotting paper with aloevera. I bought that and also a set of hand lotion (5 in a set?) as souvenir for my friends back in Malaysia (unfortunately I did not jot down the price).

All in all, I am in love with this brand, especially the lip balm!
